Matt Leach in Paris shows the last remaining wall-mounted or applied model (modèle à applique) Wallace Fountain in Paris, on the perimeter wall of the Jardin des Plantes, at Rue Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire and Rue Cuvier in the 5th Arrondisement.

Views of each of the four caryatids on the original large model Wallace Fountains. They represent kindness, simplicity, charity and sobriety. The water trickles behind the caryatids, from the center of the dome to a basin; water also comes from a spigot on the side of the pedestal, more convenient for filling large containers. Originally all the Wallace Fountains in Paris were painted dark green, but recently there have been some departures. This one is on rue Jean-Anouilh, Paris 75013. Photo: Elsenyor, Wikimedia Commons.
Once there were more small model Wallace Fountains in Paris than any other style, but today there are only eleven. This one is at Place des Invalides, 75007, Photo: Eric Gaba
The colonnade model Wallace Fountain is the most recent of the models; of the thirty made, only two remain, this one on rue de Rémusat, at rue de Mirabeau, Paris, 16th arrondisement.
