POLICIES: ZACHA'S BAY WINDOW ARCHIVE|
The Archive Project
Each of Zacha's Mendocino Heritage artists has a vast body of work, most of which is dispersed throughout museums and private collections worldwide. In our virtual galleries, we gather historic images of each artist's work for a growing permanent online archive for scholarship and pleasure, now and in the future.
We would be grateful for digital photos of artwork currently in private collections, also biographical information, archival correspondence, essays and articles, reminiscences and personal photos for the Archive. See, for example, Bill's Roses, a reminiscence by Hilda Pertha.
To share photos, letters, stories or other information about the Mendocino Heritage Artists, please contact our archivist. Please include the artist's name, the medium and dimensions of the work, title and year when known, and full file digital photos when possible. Thank you.
Estimates of Value
If you own artwork by one of the Mendocino Heritage Artists, we're glad to provide a free estimate of value for insurance purposes only.
Please send the artist's name, several good digital photos of front and back of the artwork, the medium, unframed dimensions, closeups of signature, title, date, and any tears, foxing or other damage, if any.
We're not equipped to make formal appraisals and, in any case, an appraisal would require close examination of the actual artwork.
How can I tell if something pictured in the Archive is still available?
