OUR POLICIES

Privacy

Personal or financial information given to Zacha's Bay Window Gallery, online, by phone, fax, letter or in person, is confidential and will not be sold to any organization or shared in any way other than is necessary to complete a transaction.

Purchases & Payment

To purchase artwork offered for sale in an artist's virtual gallery, select the artwork, proceed to our secure checkout pages, complete and send your contact information. Zacha's Bay Window Gallery director Lynne Prentice or gallery manager Catey Simonton will reply to discuss payment and shipping options. Zacha's Bay Window Gallery accepts credit cards and debit cards from both Mastercard and Visa.

For questions regarding purchases, email Zacha's Bay Window Gallery or call 707-937-5205.

Shipping

Shipping options will be discussed at time of payment. Zacha's Bay Window Gallery accepts credit cards and debit cards from both Mastercard and Visa. Usually a purchase will be shipped within three to five business days. On those rare occasions when shipping might be delayed, the unique circumstances will be discussed with the buyer. Arrangements can be made for expedited shipping.

Returns

We accept returns for in-store credit within thirty days of purchase, as long as the piece is in the same condition as when purchased.

Frames

Some, but not all, of the work for sale in our virtual galleries is offered framed. Work listed as framed is not offered unframed. Should the buyer wish a different frame for a piece of framed art, arrangements can be made at an additional cost.

To arrange to have artwork custom framed or for answers to your inquiries, email Prentice Gallery Custom Fine Art Framing Services or call 707-937-5205. If you prefer, you are welcome to bring artwork directly to the Prentice Gallery Custom Fine Art frame shop at Zacha's Bay Window Gallery, 45110 Main Street, Mendocino, CA 95460, open daily. Browsers are welcome

Toshi Yoshida

Zacha's Bay Window Gallery offers Toshi Yoshida's woodblock prints direct from the Yoshida estate in Japan. The gallery does not deal in Yoshida prints which have been in private collections.

Selling on Consignment

If you have work by one of our artists which you would like to offer for sale on consignment, we are interested in hearing from you. We accept on consignment work by all of Zacha's Bay Window Gallery artists except Toshi Yoshida, as explained above.

To make an inquiry, contact our consignment specialist, consignment@williamzacha.com. Please include the name of the artist, medium and dimensions of the work, title and date when known, and a professional quality digital photo if possible.

All the artwork offered for sale at Zacha's Bay Window Gallery is on consignment, a contractual agreement in which the gallery (the consignee) accepts work for sale and the owner of the artwork (the consignor) remains the owner until the work is sold. When the artwork has been sold and the gallery has received payment in full, the former owner receives a predetermined percentage of the selling price.

At Zacha's Bay Window Gallery the consignor receives 50% of the basic selling price. The basic selling price excludes taxes, shipping and handling costs and any special fees, including the cost of the frame or other presentation on the rare occasion when the gallery, not the consignor, is the owner of the frame or other presentation.

Before a work of art is accepted for sale at Zacha's Bay Window Gallery, its authenticity and condition will require confirmation and approval by our consignment specialist and its frame or other presentation require the approval of our gallery directors.

In placing artwork at Zacha's Bay Window Gallery, the consignor agrees not to remove the work from the gallery for the purposes of making a private sale. While the work is on consignment at the gallery, all sales are to be made through Zacha's Bay Window Gallery.

Zacha's Bay Window Gallery reserves the right to return work placed on consignment after notifying the consignor and at the consignor's expense, if the work has not sold during a reasonable period of time as determined by the gallery directors.

Insurance Estimates

For insurance purposes only, Zacha's Bay Window Gallery will provide an estimate of the current market value of work by our artists, on receipt of relevant information including name of artist, medium and dimensions, title and date when known, and a professional quality digital photo. Contact our specialist.

Zacha's Bay Window Gallery reserves the right to include the artwork in our online archive, anonymously listed as "Private Collection".
